Introducing the 2010-11 Men’s Basketball Schedule

scheduleRALEIGH, N.C. – The 101st season of NC State men’s basketball will feature a total of 16 home games, including one against each of the other three North Carolina ACC schools, as the 2010-11 schedule was released Thursday by the ACC.

“We have a very challenging schedule, possible one of the toughest in the country,” said head coach Sidney Lowe. “The ACC is always a tough conference, and the fact that we play all the conference schools in the state twice makes it even tougher. Our non-conference schedule includes some of the top programs around, and we think this type of schedule is what our fans want.”

NC State will open its 2010-11 campaign against Tennessee Tech on November 12 at the RBC Center.

The Wolfpack will then pack its bags and head down to Charleston, South Carolina, to play in the 2010 Charleston Classic at the Carolina First Arena November 18-21. NC State will play three games in four days, along with Georgetown, Charlotte. East Carolina, George Mason, Wofford, and two yet to be named teams.

The Pack’s non-conference schedule also features three other road contests. NC State will travel to Wisconsin for the ACC/Big 10 Challenge on December 1, to Syracuse on December 4 and play Elon at the Greensboro Coliseum on January 5.

The Pack will once again play in Reynolds Coliseum in mid-December. NC State will host USC Upstate on December 11. The Pack will also play an exhibition game in Reynolds, hosting Pfeiffer on November 9.

NC State’s ACC portion of the schedule will begin when the Pack plays host to Wake Forest on January 8. The Pack will be facing, Clemson, Duke, Florida State, North Carolina and Wake Forest both home and away this season. In other ACC games, Georgia Tech, Miami and Virginia Tech will all be visiting the RBC Center, while the Pack will be at Boston College, Maryland and Virginia.

The ACC Tournament returns to the Greensboro Coliseum for the second straight year, and will be played from March 12-15.
