NC State ranks 38th in today’s updated Learfield Sports Directors Cup standings, which is three spots improved from the last update on April 26th at the conclusion of Winter Sports. NC State earned points in Women’s Golf and Men’s Tennis since the last update. The Lady Wolfpack golfers finished 13th in the nation, and earned 62.25 points for their school. The Men’s Tennis team finished 33rd and earned the Pack 25 points. To understand more on how a team earns points, check this out.
The highest ranking that the Wolfpack has ever earned in the Director’s Cup is 32nd back in 1994-95. NC State has the chance to possibly pass that previous mark with baseball, Men’s Golf, and Track & Field still wrapping up their seasons. NC State is guaranteed to earn points already for baseball, the question now is how many. The Men’s Track team should earn points, currently ranked 39th nationally, and sophomore standout Albin Choi still has one more round today in the NCAA Championships.
