Former N.C. State quarterback stars in first commercial

NFL: Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals

Former N.C. State star quarterback Russell Wilson is heading to the small screen and it won’t be during a football game. Wilson, who is know the starting quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks will be making his commercial debut for Levi Jeans.

Sure this isn’t Wrangler and he isn’t Bret Favre but for a rookie quarterback this is pretty awesome.

The commercial, like most commercials hardly has anything to do with Levi, instead it is mostly Wilson talking about his father, his experiences and what motivates him to keep going. As I am sure most of you know, Wilson doesn’t give much out in interviews, I couldn’t tell you how many different ways I have heard him sidestep one question and give the normal “coaches answer” but this commercial gives a pretty cool insight to him, something not a lot of us have seen.

One pretty cool thing Wilson said was his dad used to tell him about the three P’s. “Always persevere, always have a great perspective and always have a purpose in life.”

What do you guys think about Wilson’s commercial? It’s crazy to think just how big he has gotten in the last few months isn’t it?
