David Glenn caught up with NC State head coach Kevin Keatts prior to the team’s trip to Italy. Here are a few of the highlights, but listen to the full interview above for more.
“The main reason is getting to bond with your team and those guys getting to bond with their teammates, but more importantly it’s given up the opportunity to have 10 practices … having the opportunity to learn about the kids on and off the court.”
“It’s going to be a lot of educational things, a lot of bonding and of course we’ll play 3 hopefully competitive games.”
“I haven’t shared that with them yet. Torin Dorn found out a little about there being some restrictions from the media but I haven’t really decided yet. I will say this, there will be one day on this trip that there will be no social media….I’m going to see how we handle that as a team.”
“I think the #1 message (from Wolfpack Nation) is they want to see a product that we put on the floor that can compete. And going with that, winning is important to me and Wolpack Nation, but I think they want to see a product that goes out on the floor and competes every day, dives on the floor, does all the little things and that is the message that I’ve sent to my players. Just play hard everyday.”
