Additional Scholarship Available:

Recruiting Related to South Carolina Game:

I think the South Carolina game last weekend showed that we still need skilled and powerful guys on our O-Line and on our D-Line, particularly at OG and NT.  Bryant was not getting much of a push at all at NT, which McNeill or Davis could play at immediately if they were to commit.  I would also think that Jo’vaughn Gwyn saw that we need an impact type player at OG now that Tony Adams is getting ready to graduate.  Joe Sculthorpe starting at LG as a RS Freshman should definitely show Gwyn that he could compete for (and probably would win) immediate playing time on our O-Line next year if he would commit.

2017 Season Performance Updates:

Our “skill player” commits are absolutely shredding their competition this season:

Commits:

Tyler Williams – 8 catches for 154 yards (1 TD), 4 rushes for 73 yards

Devin Carter – 6 catches for 118 yards (2 TDs), 5 rushes for 50 yards

Devin Leary – Passing – 14 for 23 for 269 yards with 3 TDs and 1 INT, Rushing – 4 carries for 30 yards

Ricky Person – Rushing – 64 carries for 674 yards with 11 TDs (longest carry is 73 yards), Receiving – 5 catches for 121 yards with 1 TD.

Trent Pennix – Rushing – 45 carries for 313 yards and 6 TDs, Receiving – 7 catches for 76 yards with 1 TD

Targets:

Alim McNeill – 18 tackles, 5 Tackles for Loss

Projections:

Here’s my current projection of how things pan out for each of our remaining targets:

4* DE/DT Alim McNeill – NC STATE

4* OG Jovaughn Gwyn – NC STATE

4* DT Jordan Davis – NC STATE

3* DT Elijah Brown – DUKE
