About Us


WHO WE ARE
PackInsider.com is a independently run news website that exclusively covers NC State basketball and football. Started in late 2007 by Lou Pascucci and Matthew Bradham, PackInsider.com went from a small but popular basketball  recruiting blog (WolfpackHoops.com) to an all-out NC State media source in late 2008.

PI is recognized as a trusted source in the NC State athletics community thanks to numerous breaking stories, constant beat coverage of both the basketball and the football program and a track record of accuracy with information. PI is one of the few fully credentialed independent sites covering NC State, and the only one that is completely free to it’s readers.

The Idea
The idea for a website came in the midst of the internet revolution when media outlets were struggling to find a way to monetize their information. Most major outlets chose to stay free and use advertising and print media to drive revenue, but smaller, more specialized sites (like other independent sites covering NC State) chose to stay behind a paywall. It was quickly realized that the market for an ad-driven ‘insider’ site was certainly there and not being filled. Matthew and Lou then presented their plan before launching PackInsider.com.

Three years later PackInsider is over the 5 million hit mark and continues to grow at an astounding rate thanks to it’s loyal readers and the passionate fans of NC State University.

Our Team
PackInsider.com is co-owned by Lou Pascucci and Matthew Bradham. They are both graduates of NC State.

Lou studied public relations, marketing and education while in school. He has held marketing jobs in the field as well as in the classroom  and is currently an interactive designer at Brooks Bell Interactive in Raleigh. Lou is in charge of all the marketing activities at PackInsider.com and is also one of the journalists, primarily covering basketball.

Matthew studied business management at NC State as well as divinity at South Eastern Seminary in Wake Forest. Matthew currently holds a job as a pastor at Starting Point Church, which has campuses in Raleigh and Apex, NC. Matthew handles the beat writing for both football and basketball.

PI also employs numerous others to contribute to the site, including one of Raleigh’s premier photographers, Richard Byers. Byers, an employee at SAS in Cary and also a huge Wolfpack fan. His photos can be seen throughout the website since he is the exclusive photographer for PackInsider.com

Taylor Barbour, another graduate of NC State and former editor of the university newspaper ‘The Technician’, also contributes weekly to PackInsider.com. Barbour helps cover the beat for football, attending press conferences and practices as well as writing pre-game, post-game and player pieces.
