Archie Miller Has Dayton in 1st Place in A-10
Last March all the talk was about Arizona head coach Sean Miller, but this year it might be another Miller getting all the publicity. Don’t look now but former Wolfpack PG Archie Miller (Sean’s brother) in his first year as a head coach, has Dayton atop the Atlantic 10. With a big win already against #15 Alabama, Dayton did it again yesterday when they took out conference favorite Xavier 87-72. The Flyers are playing smart, disciplined and focused basketball and it’s all thank to Miller and his staff, one of whom is another former Wolfpacker, Simon Harris. Miller is doing...

Ryan Harrow is still a State fan
Here is an excerpt we came across from AJC.com… Guard Ryan Harrow (Walton) knew it was time to leave North Carolina State when coach Sidney Lowe was fired. So he transferred to Kentucky, where he is sitting out this season under NCAA transfer rules. “Coach Lowe and I had a real close relationship,” Harrow told kentucky.com. “I’m kind of disappointed [about leaving] because I was a big fan of N.C. State. I still am, but Kentucky is going to help me reach my goals and what I’m going to do with basketball.” Harrow averaged 9.3 points as a freshman at...

He only saw action in 5 games before being waived and sent back down to the D-League.  MassLive.com reported the unfortunate news about the former Wolfpack forward. Horner scored 4 points in 8 total minutes of action with the Nets. He finished his NC State career averaging 12 points and 5 boards as a senior just two years ago. Ex-NC State head coach, who should be bettered remembered for his playing days as a Wolfpack legend at point guard on the 1983 National Championship team, was hired by the Utah Jazz today as an assistant. NC State 87 – Wake Forest 76 Boxscore  GAME RECAP NC State used a red hot Scott Wood (23 points) and solid performances from the rest of their starting five to out-gun the Demon Deacons 87.76. It was a true game of runs with Wake striking first thanks to Chase Fischer and Travis McKie doing damage early , but NC State stormed back using Woods hot hand. That had the Pack in it midway through the second half, but it wasn’t until late in the first that State really made their move and it wasn’t until midway through the second that they really got out to a sizable lead. State managed just 2 points off their bench and finished with a close rebounding margain but got very solid play from all 5 of their starters, limited the turnovers and got out on the break where they can be devastating. KEY STATS Wake played well tonight. They shot 50% from the field, 58% from 3 was only out-rebounded by three, but it wasn’t enough as State racked up 19 assists to only 9 turnovers as a team and turned that into 19 fast break points (to Wake’s 4). Player wise you have to look…
