Cameron Bennerman’s Rimini Crabs improved to 3-0 on Sunday night, defeating Scafati Basket 89-84 at home. Bennerman led all scorers with 19 points (6-11 FG, 3-6 3PT) and also added 4 rebounds and 4 steals. Cam is averaging 21.3 points and 3.0 steals through 3 games. He is also shooting a dead-eye 46.2% from deep range. After playing for Kirchheim in Germany last season, former NC State guard Clifford Crawford has changed flags and is now playing for Levice in Slovakia. Cliff has started off his 2009 campaign with some explosive numbers. In the three games that he has played in he has averaged 19.3 points (54.3 %), 10.7 assists, 4 rebounds and 2.7 steals. Levice is off to a 3-1 (their one loss came in a game that Crawford didn’t play) start and they play their next game tomorrow night against Pezinok. Jordan Collins: After beginning this season in Cyprus for a 3-game stint, Jordan Collins has played the remainder of the season for the West-Brabant Giants in Holland. Jordan is currently the third leading scorer on the team. Jordan is averaging 11.6 ppg and 6.0rpg in 30 minutes per. He is shredding the net at a 52% clip from the field and 40% from deep range. NC State Rides Wood in Victory Over Wake 87-76

NC State 87 – Wake Forest 76 Boxscore  GAME RECAP NC State used a red hot Scott Wood (23 points) and solid performances from the rest of their starting five to out-gun the Demon Deacons 87.76. It was a true game of runs with Wake striking first thanks to Chase Fischer and Travis McKie doing damage early , but NC State stormed back using Woods hot hand. That had the Pack in it midway through the second half, but it wasn’t until late in the first that State really made their move and it wasn’t until midway through the second that they really got out to a sizable lead. State managed just 2 points off their bench and finished with a close rebounding margain but got very solid play from all 5 of their starters, limited the turnovers and got out on the break where they can be devastating. KEY STATS Wake played well tonight. They shot 50% from the field, 58% from 3 was only out-rebounded by three, but it wasn’t enough as State racked up 19 assists to only 9 turnovers as a team and turned that into 19 fast break points (to Wake’s 4).
