Brandon Costner
Brandon Costner Drafted First Round By Utah Flash
Reach back into your not-so distant memory bank and you’ll remember this lefty whose dead-eye three ball and post-up spin moves helped NC State make a remarkable run in the 2007 ACC tournament (he set a NC State record by scoring 90 points in the Pack’s four games). You also might remember his not so pleasant sophomore season where he struggled with finding his shot and his role on a team filled with front court talent (including current NBA forward JJ Hickson). The last we heard of Brandon Costner, he talked to us candidly about his time at NC State...
Costner Signs With Top Team in Belgium
We talked with Brandon Costner yesterday and he told us that he signed on with Dexia Mons-Hainaut, which is one of the best teams in Belgium. Dexia has had a lot of success as of late, finishing last season as the regular season runner-up and making it to the league finals. The last time that they won the Belgian Cup was in ’06 and they made it to the Cup finals in ’08. Costner will be suiting up with Justin Gage (Xavier), Craig Callahan (UNC-W), Kelvin Torbert (Michigan St.) and Dominique Coleman (Colorado) along with others. Brandon and crew will...
WHERE ARE THEY NOW: Brandon Costner
With the NBA Draft coming up this Thursday night, we thought that we would catch up with Brandon Costner to see how he is feeling with the big day approaching. The former McDonald’s All-American has been trying to show that he belongs in the NBA by attending every workout possible and leaving with positive feedback wherever he has been. Here is how our conversation with Brandon broke down: WPH:How have the NBA workouts been going and what has been the feedback that you’ve been getting? Costner: Things have been going very well. I’m very upbeat. I had my last workout...
Brandon Costner Signs With Agent
As we all know, Brandon Costner will not be back with the Pack next season. He will be testing the NBA draft waters, and it is believed that he will play in Europe if he goes undrafted. He has signed Lance Young as his agent. Lance Young also represents Chris Paul, David West, Rudy Gay and Joey Dorsey in the NBA. Young also represents a couple of other familiar faces that you might recognize in Kyle Visser and Justin Gray, who both played their college ball at Wake Forest, and Sam Young (Pitt) and Wesley Matthews (Marquette) who played in...
Costner To Test NBA Waters, Will Not Return
We’ve received word from a source close to the Wolfpack program that “it seems as if redshirt junior Brandon Costner is not planning on returning next year”. This is confirming what numerous media sources are also reporting. From what we understand Brandon may test the NBA and or the European waters. This would leave a hole in the Wolfpack frontcourt, soon to be filled by freshman big man Richard Howell and returning senior Dennis Horner. His dad most likely has some connections in Europe, so he’ll probably catch on with a team there. The question is what if he pulls...

NC State 87 – Wake Forest 76 Boxscore  GAME RECAP NC State used a red hot Scott Wood (23 points) and solid performances from the rest of their starting five to out-gun the Demon Deacons 87.76. It was a true game of runs with Wake striking first thanks to Chase Fischer and Travis McKie doing damage early , but NC State stormed back using Woods hot hand. That had the Pack in it midway through the second half, but it wasn’t until late in the first that State really made their move and it wasn’t until midway through the second that they really got out to a sizable lead. State managed just 2 points off their bench and finished with a close rebounding margain but got very solid play from all 5 of their starters, limited the turnovers and got out on the break where they can be devastating. KEY STATS Wake played well tonight. They shot 50% from the field, 58% from 3 was only out-rebounded by three, but it wasn’t enough as State racked up 19 assists to only 9 turnovers as a team and turned that into 19 fast break points (to Wake’s 4). Player wise you have to look…
