Yesterday the Las Vegas Summer League started and a handful of former NC State players began a 10-day stretch of proving their worth.
Lorenzo Brown quite literally led the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 81-68 victory over the Lakers. In 30 minutes, he scored 17 points (6-9 FG/1-2 3PT), grabbed 3 rebounds, and picked up 3 assists and 3 steals. Brown is currently under contract with the T-Wolves, but it is non-guaranteed. Performances like this hopefully will lock him into the final year of his contract.
C.J. Leslie played 20 minutes in the Sacramento Kings 68-90 loss to the Toronto Raptors. He scored 7 points on 3-of-10 shooting (1-3 from three). He also picked up 3 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block.
Trevor Lacey had a solid first performance for the Cavaliers scoring 6 points (2-5 FG) in 17 minutes of play in a 75-83 loss to the Warriors. He also collected 3 rebounds and 2 assists in his 17 minutes of play.
