Tonight 5-star 2016 Point Guard De’Aaron Fox trimmed his list down to 7 schools, and NC State made the cut. Here is an image of Fox’s Top 7 that he tweeted out.

Scout’s Evan Daniels caught up with Fox tonight, and got his take on why each school was included on his list.

Here is what Fox had to say about NC State:

N.C. State: I really just wanted to give them a chance, being out there and being in a tough conference like the ACC. I’ve talked to Dennis [Smith] and Bam [Adebayo] a lot and everyone knows they are high on their list. There’s potential to play with those guys. I just want to test the waters with that.”

“I like the way they play,” he added
about N.C. State. “They get up and down no matter who they play against. I feel like they are coming on this year and next I feel like they could be real program to watch.”

Fox is the #9 overall player in the 2016 class according to Rivals.

This just goes to show you can’t always trust crystal balls. 247Sports’ Crystal Ball had Texas as the big favorite, and they aren’t even on his list of seven.
