The NC State football team submitted their votes yesterday to elect its Leadership Council for the 2015 season.  Each position group votes for who will represent them on the council.  These players will meet with the coaching staff on a regular basis and give input on certain decisions.  They are the representatives of the rest of the team, and can bring concerns and ideas from the team before the coaches.

While each position has players representing them, 6 freshmen were also selected to represent all of the freshmen.

Cornerback: Juston Burris, Jack Tocho
Safety: Shawn Boone, Hakim Jones
Linebacker: Airius Moore, M.J. Salahuddin
Defensive Line: B.J. Hill, Mike Rose
Special Teams: Will  Stephenson
Running Back: Matt Dayes, Shadrach Thornton
Tight end/Fullback: Benson Browne, Cole Cook
Wide reciever: Gavin Locklear, Jumichael Ramos

Not A Guaranteed Honor for Starters

Not every player selected is a starter at their respective decision.  Shawn Boone was selected instead of Josh Jones.  M.J. Salahuddin was selected instead of Jerod Fernandez.  Benson Browne & Cole Cook were selected instead of David Grinnage.  Gavin Locklear was selected instead of Jonathan Alston and Bra’Lon Cherry.
