While at NC State Coach Doeren has been extremely successful following a bye week or a game that has allowed more than a week to prepare. In his three seasons at State he is 7-2 in such games. In fact, NC State and Coach Doeren are 5-0 in the last 5 games that fall under these guidelines, 1-0 this season as well as 4-0 a season ago. The good news keeps coming as State won two road ACC games (last season) following a bye as they beat Syracuse and UNC.
