NC State was knotted up with UVA at half, but that was quickly erased by multiple second half runs by the Cavaliers. Malcolm Brogdon scored 22 points but his main impact was on the defensive end as he held Cat Barber to just 14 points on the night. UVA was the better team period. There is a reason why they are now 33-1 in home ACC games in the last four years, Tony Bennett has his team ready each time out. NC State had a great first half, but couldn’t get any stops as UVA shot 53% from the field and 55% from three. The Pack also could not sustain their offensive success in the second half as their field goal percentage dropped to 29.1%, compared to 52.1% in the first half. Tony Bennett made his adjustments at half and the Cavilers answered the bell out scoring the Pack 42-22 in the second half.
