NC State Record Watch Heading Into Wake Forest

This Saturday many Wolfpack players will have the opportunity to move up the NC State record books against Wake Forest. Here are my predictions.

I’d like to think that over the next 3 games Ryan Finley will be able to pick up 5 more passing touchdowns to tie Terry Harvey in 6th place.

With Wake Forest not having a stout defense, I predict that Finley will pick up enough total yards of offense to pass Jacoby Brissett this weekend, and move into 5th place.

I think Jaylen Samuels will match Jerricho Cotchery’s record for al-time receptions by seasons end, but I don’t think he will do it this weekend (He has had 12 catches or more twice this season). With that being said, I do think that he will get at least 4 catches moving him past Torry Holt into 2nd all-time. I’ll also predict a Samuels touchdown reception against the Demon Deacons, going him with Jarvis Williams for 3rd all-time.

Kelvin Harmon will get have a huge game against Wake Forest, picking up another 100-yard game, giving him sole possession of 5th place. Also, Jaylen Samuels will officially tie Cotchery and Peterson for the most consecutive games with a reception with 39.

No, Jaylen Samuels will not get 7  touchdowns this weekend to tie Ted Brown’s all-time record, but the question is can he get 7 more over the next three games?

A.J. Cole has been booting the ball as of late. I predict he does enough this weekend to move past Kelly Hollodick, and sit behind Johnny Evans in career punt average.

Nyheim Hines had over 200 yards of all-purpose yards against Boston College last weekend, and I predict he will do it again. If he does, he will pass Matt Dayes, Darrell Blackman and Torry Holt, and move into 3rd place all-time.
