NC State Will Face Arizona St. in the Sun Bowl

It looks like NC State will be facing Arizona St. in the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas, on December 29th (Friday) at 3pm on CBS.

This is NC State’s 1st appearance in the Sun Bowl.

The Wolfpack have a 16-13-1 record all-time in bowl games.

This will mark the 3rd time that these two teams have faced one another. Both games have been at Arizona St.

The 1st game was in 1960, and NC State lost 22-25. The second matchup was in 1974, and the #16 Wolfpack beat the unranked Sun Devils 35-14. NC State legend Stan Fritts rushed for 102 yards in the contest.
