Kevin Keatts Talks on ACC Teleconference: BULLETED

This morning NC State head coach Kevin Keatts talked to the media on the ACC weekly Teleconference. You can listen to it here, but here is a BULLETED breakdown of what he had to say.

• FSU was probably our best game, when you talk about playing from beginning to end. Especially on defense.
• I’m proud of our guys because I think they have bought into the system a lot quicker than I thought.
• Sam Hunt grew up around the ACC. I remember Sam when he was playing AAU. Tremendous young man. Already graduated from A&T. Working on graduate degree. This year he went over 1,000 career points. Been big for us recently. Excited he had the opportunity to get him when he took the job.
• Our guys are finally trusting one another. There are going to be times when we may not make shots, but we can rely on our defense. Think our half-court defense has gotten a lot better recently.
• Great job defending the three recently. Not so early in the season.
• Some of our veterans are starting to play like veterans, and that’s helping us.
