Keatts presser after loss to Georgia Tech :: BULLETED

Kevin Keatts met with the media after NC State’s road loss to Georgia Tech. Here is the summary of that press conference.

• Give GT credit. Watched tape against Clemson and UVA and they nearly won those. Knew this would be tough because clash of styles.
• Got beat on 50/50 balls. Lost by 3. Both teams efficient offensively. Team had chance to turn them over but didn’t get loose balls
• Got to go back and get better before Saturday.
• Yurt vs Lammers was a great offensive matchup. Both were sharp.
• Not one play that changed momentum. Just didn’t get loose balls we normally get. Team played extremely hard and with effort but they beat us to loose balls. Got to get better there before Saturday.
• It’s the ACC. Every team is capable of beating you. Doesn’t matter who it is. On same token, you can beat anyone. They did great job on their home floor.
• Don’t know what rest of league has done. Not going to say we’re out of the double-bye,. Would be great if we controlled that.
• Not a missed opportunity. Would have loved to win the games, but it’s the ACC. Can’t look ahead to winning 2 games. Doesn’t work tha way. Team was focused on this game.

• Message in locker room was that one game does not define you. Don’t have time to hang heads. Louisville comes Saturday. Whether you win or lose this game, you play Saturday. Now we need to figure it out.
