NC State is 6th in the UPDATED Director’s Cup Standings
NC State finished 7th in the final Fall Director’s Cup Standings (which ranks an entire athletic program), which was their best finish ever since the Director’s Cup began in 1993.
The Director’s Cup Standings have now been updated after the finish of the 1st two Winter Sports, Wrestling and Women’s Swimming, and NC State has moved up to 6th nationally!
If you didn’t notice above, NC State is the highest ranked team in the ACC.
NC State’s wrestling team finished 4th as a team in the NCAA Tournament, which is the highest finish in school history, and the highest finish by any team in ACC history. Michael Macchiavello also took home an individual national championship, and 4 Wolfpack wrestlers earned All-American honors (another school record).
NC State’s Women’s Swimming and Diving team also finished 18th in the NCAA Tournament.
