After the commitment of 4-Star defensive tackle CJ Clark, NC State’s 2019 Football Recruiting Class is ranked 15th nationally by 247Sports.
According to just 247Sports rankings, the class is currently ranked 15th. Their composite ranking system, which accounts for the rankings from the other major recruiting databases, has the Wolfpack ranked 20th.
Rivals ranks #Pack19 18th nationally.
This class is far from done, and it has the makings of something truly special.
5-Star RB Will Shipley Visiting NC State Today
I confirmed with 5-Star 2021 Running Back Will Shipley (5’11”/200) that he will be in attendance for NC State’s matchup against Ball State tonight.
ESPN ranks Shipley as the #19 overall player nationally in the 2021 recruiting class. 247Sports and Rivals both rank him as the #1 All-Purpose Running Back in 2021.
Shipley ran 206 times for 1,417 yards and 19 touchdowns and caught 28 passes for 393 yards and six more scores as a Sophomore last year for Weddington High School.
Both of his parents are NC State alumni, as well as 20+members of his family. Ties like that give the Wolfpack a chance with the in-state sensation who also holds offers from Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Florida, Georgia, Oregon, Notre Dame, Penn State, Tennessee, USC and a slew of others.
4-Star DE Jahvaree Ritzie Visiting NC State Today
4-Star 2021 Defensive End Jahvaree Ritzie will be taking an unofficial visit to NC State today along with his teammate, Linebacker Raneiria Dillowrth.

Rivals ranks Ritzie as the #111 overall player nationally in the 2021 recruiting class and the #6 Strongside Defensive End. 247Sports ranks him as the #7 player in the state of North Carolina in 2021.
NC State offered Ritzie back on January 15th. He was at UNC on the 2nd weekend of the month. Ritzie attended the Alpha Wolf Showcase in Raleigh at the end of July.
Dillworth is an unranked/unrated player that doesn’t hold an offer from the Wolfpack, but does hold offers from Virginia Tech, Liberty and Temple.
They both play together at Glenn High School in Kernersville, North Carolina.

3-Star LB Jayland Parker Taking Official Visit to NC State this Weekend

Official visit this weekend 🐺 #WPN
— JP🎱 (@JaylandParker) September 17, 2019
Parker included NC State in his Top-3 back on June 15th along with Purdue and Colorado. He took Official Visits to both Purdue and Colorado.
NC State offered Parker back on March 1st, while he was in for an unofficial visit.
Parker committed to Colorado back at the beginning of July, but decommitted on September 8th.
He recently took an unofficial visit to Mississippi State, but I think there’s a strong likelihood that Parker leaves this weekend as an NC State commit. Since his decommitment, 5 crystal ball predictions over at 247Sports have come in, and they all project that he will run with the Wolfpack.
He had 58 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, and 2 interceptions last year in 2018 for Westside High School (Macon, GA). Parker has 17 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 1 interception through the first two games of 2019.
247Sports Composite ranks Parker as the #51 player in the state of Georgia, and ESPN ranks him as the #14 Inside Linebacker in the 2020 recruiting class.
