Joe Dunand Has Been Promoted to Double-AA

Former NC State third basemen Joe Dunand, the nephew of MLB great Alex Rodriguez, has been promoted from Advanced Single-A Jupiter Hammerheads to the Double-A Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.

Prior to his promotion, Dunand was leading the Hammerheads in Games Played, Runs and RBI’s in his first full season in the Minors.

Dunand is the #16 prospect in the Miami Marlins Pipeline according to MLB.com

Through 66 games this season for the Advanced-A Hammerheads, Dunand was batting .268, with 7 home runs, 64 hits, 42 RBI’s and 39 Runs.

In his first game with the Jumbo Shrimp, he hit a double, and scored a run.
