VIDEO: Dave Doeren Talks Before NC State’s Matchup With Marshall

NC State Head Coach Dave Doeren talked with the media one last time after practice today before the Wofpack heads up to Marshall. The video is ABOVE and a BULLETED breakdown is below.

• Obviously we beat ourselves up and down the field last year.
• Playing a night game will be a new experience for our guys. Haven’t done it in awhile.
• One of the greatest things you can do is go on the road and play your best football in front of the opposing crowd.
• Going to be a good environment up there.
• Marshall has a few more weapons than last year. Still featuring Brady, but #7 (Obi Obialo) on the other side, is off to a good start as well.
• Both of the Running Backs are running the football (Tyler King and Keion Davis). Different offensive coordinator. Running the ball more. Offense is more balanced.
• On Sunday our guys had good focus and energy. To help with conditioning, gassed them pretty good on Sunday.
• Redshirt Graduate Senior Wide Receiver Stephen Louis is doing great. The extra week was really good for him.
• Other guys we hope will be feeling even better by 7pm Saturday night.
• Guys got to rest and eat. Some guys lost weight over the hot games, and they gained some weight back over the break.
• I’m sure Redshirt Sophomore Tight End Cary Angeline is excited. He’s kind of a level-headed…even-keeled guy. Doesn’t get too up or down. I’m sure he’s excited to get back on the field, but he doesn’t show it on the face.
