According to Boston College head football coach Steve Addazio, superstar running back AJ Dillon’s availability for tomorrow’s game versus NC State will be a gametime decision.

“A.J. is not practicing yet but is looking very good, making great progress. So it’s kind of going to come down, probably going to really come down to the game time decision routine again. That’s what I see right now. So we’ll have to wait and see. It’s how much improvement he can make over the course of the next few days.” (ACC)

Dillon rushed for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns this past Saturday against Temple, but left the game early in the 3rd quarter after injuring his ankle, and didn’t return. He’s the 2018 Preseason ACC Player of the Year, and currently ranks 3rd in the NCAA in rushing yards with 652.

At this point, the Wolfpack have been preparing all week for both Dillon, and his backup Ben Glines, who rushed for 23 times for 120 yards last week against Temple after Dillon left the game.

Through 5 weeks, NC State is only giving up 104.3 rushing yards per game, which ranks 19th in the FBS. On the other hand, Boston College is averaging 243.4 yards on the ground per game, which also ranks 19th.

NC State is a 3.5 point favorite against Boston College, but if the Golden Eagles are without Dillon, the odds of the Wolfpack improving to 5-0 are that much greater.
