After missing the first game of the season, Guard Braxton Beverly surprised fans by returning to action today in the Wolfpack’s 95-49 victory over Maryland Eastern Shore. It was thought that he would miss half the non-conference schedule recovering from surgery on a fractured hand. He finished with 12 points, connecting on 4 of his 10 three-point field goal attempts.

He spoke with the media after the game, and the video is ABOVE, and a bulleted breakdown is BELOW.

  • All the credit goes to our trainers. We were in the training room nonstop. Anytime I wanted to get in there and work to strengthen it, he was willing to do it.
  • It felt great.
  • Once I got going, I felt comfortable. The first couple of minutes, my legs weren’t under me yet. I was really excited to get back, so that puts a little toll on it.
  • Injured in practice going for a steal and ran into in Torin’s elbow. It was kind of a freak accident. Not really sure how it happened.
