Former NC State legend Philip Rivers completed 25 consecutive passes today in the Chargers 45-10 victory over the Cardinals, setting an NFL record for the most consecutive completions in a single game. He tied Ryan Tannehill’s record (2015), but Tannehill did it over two games.

Rivers ended up completing 28 of his 29 passes for 259 yards and 3 touchdowns, finishing with a completion percentage of 96.55%, setting the new NFL single game record, surpassing Ryan Tannehill and Alex Smith’s 94.7%.

NC State’s G.O.A.T. also broke Mark Brunell and Derek Carr’s record of 22 consecutive completions to start a game.

Tony Gonzalez said that Rivers is the best quarterback in NFL history without a Super Bowl ring, and I’d have to agree.
