NC State Commit Senior Reel: 3-Star LB Drake Thomas

NC State 3-Star 2019 Linebacker Commit Drake Thomas (6’1”/225) and the Heritage Huskies’ 2018 season came to a close on November 16th, in a 26-21 loss to South View in the 1st round of the NCHSAA 4A State Playoffs.

Thomas had a monster Senior season, tallying 123 tackles and 2 interceptions (returning one of them for a touchdown). He also averaged 5.6 yards per carry as a running back, collecting 7 rushing touchdowns.

Clemson, Virginia Tech, Alabama and Tennessee made out the rest of Thomas’ Top-5, but he chose to run with the Wolfpack on June 1st, joining his older brother Thayer Thomas (WR).

Rivals ranks Thomas as the #21 player in the state of North Carolina, and the #23 inside linebacker prospect in the nation in the 2019 class.

Drake Thomas (@DrakeT32) finished his Heritage football career with 393 tackles, 11 total takeaways and 5 forced fumbles on defense. Offensively he tallied 1,064 all-purpose yards and 17 touchdowns.
