NC State Redshirt Junior Jakobi Meyers became the 5th Wide Receiver in school history to gain over 1,000 receiving yards in a single season today. He finished with a career high 163 yards receiving against East Carolina, on 13 receptions, with a touchdown to boot.

1) Torry Holt – 1998 – 1,604
2) Jerricho Cotchery – 2003 – 1,369
3) Jerricho Cotchery – 2002 – 1,192
4) Kelvin Harmon – 2018 – 1,119
5) Torry Holt – 1,099 – 1997
6) Koren Robinson – 2000 – 1,061
7) Kelvin Harmon – 2017 – 1,017
8) Jakobi Meyers – 2018 –

Meyers joins Junior Wide Receiver Kelvin Harmon, who already crossed the 1,000 mark against Louisville two weeks ago.

The dynamic duo made school history today, becoming the first two receivers at NC State to ever gain 1,000 yards receiving in the same season, and only the 4th duo in ACC history.

Only three ACC receivers crossed the 1,000-yard mark in the regular season, and 2 of them wore Red & White (Wake Forest’s Greg Dortch was the other – 1,078). It should be noted that Meyers played one less game than both Harmon and Dortch due to injury.

Meyers entered today’s contest as the ACC leader in receptions per game (7.6), ranking 6th nationally.
