3-Star LB Drake Thomas Signs his Letter of Intent to NC State

3-Star Linebacker Drake Thomas has officially signed his letter of intent to play football at NC State.

Thomas chose to run with the Wolfpack on June 1st over Clemson, Virginia Tech, Alabama and Tennessee, who filled out the rest of his Top-5.

Rivals ranks Thomas as the #19 player in the state of North Carolina, and the #22 inside linebacker in the nation.

Thomas has been the ring leader of NC State’s 2019 recruiting class, and has been a catalyst behind many other clutch commitments. He joins his brother Thayer Thomas, who will be a Redshirt Sophomore Wide Receiver next year.

He was also teammates with Wolfpack Running Back Ricky Person at Heritage High School (as well as Thayer).

Thomas had 123 tackles and 2 interceptions as a Senior at Heritage (Wake Forest), and also rushed for 280 yards and 7 touchdowns.
