NC State’s Ted Roof is Expected to be Named Defensive Coordinator at App State

After serving as the Defensive Coordinator at Georgia Tech from 2013-17, Ted Roof came up to Raleigh to serve as an Associate Head Coach, the Co-Defensive Coordinator, and the Safeties coach for the Wolfpack.

Ted Roof’s time at NC State was short lived.

According to Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports, Roof is expected to become Eliah Drinkwitz’s Defensive Coordinator at Appalachian State.

Drinkwitz served as NC State’s Offensive Coordinator the past three seasons, but recently became the Mountaineers head coach.

Roof is now the third coach from the Wolfpack staff to leave this offseason for another program to move up the responsibility ladder.
