7 NC State Commits Earn USAToday 1st Team All-State, 5 Make 2nd Team

USAToday released their 2018 High School Football All-State Teams yesterday, and 7 NC State commits earned 1st Team honors, and 5 made the 2nd Team. 2019 4-Star Running Back commit Jamious Griffin was named the Georgia Offensive Player of the Year.

Griffin was also named the USA Today Georgia Offensive Player of the Year.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Jamious Griffin, Rome

An ALL-USA First Team Offense selection and the state’s Gatorade Player of the Year after leading the Wolves (13-1) to the Class 5A state semifinals, Griffin ran for 2,815 yards and 38 TDs on 288 carries (9.8 yards/rush). After finishing his prep career with 7,047 total yards and accounting for 113 TDs, Griffin will head to NC State next year. (USAToday)
