DE Davontae McCrae is Transferring from NC State
Freshman Defensive End Davontae McCrae is officially entering the transfer portal, and is transferring from NC State.

McCrae didn’t play a single snap as a true freshman this year, redshirting the year. He was a 3-star prospect out of Northwestern High School in Miami, Florida.
Prior to committing to NC State, McCrae was originally a Louisville commit. Coming out of high school, McCrae held offers from UCF, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Louisville, Georgia Tech, and others.
NC State still has 9 scholarship defensive ends on the roster heading into Spring.
