#10 NC State Baseball’s ACC Stat Leaders Heading into Minnesota Series

#10 NC State will host Minnesota for a three-game series this weekend, but before they do, here’s a look at which NC State players rank in the Top-10 of individual statistical categories through the first 8 games.

Senior 1st Baseman Evan Edwards is wielding one of the hottest bats in the ACC to start the season, ranking 2nd in Runs (11), 2nd in Home Runs (4), 2nd in RBI’s (14), 2nd in Total Bases (28), 2nd in Slugging Percentage (.824), and 8th in hits (11).

Junior Shortstop Will Wilson ranks 2nd in Hits (13), 3rd in Home Runs (3), and 3rd in Total Bases (25).

Sophomore Left Fielder, and leadoff batter, Jonny Butler ranks 10th in Runs (9) and 8th in Walks (8).

Freshman Center Fielder Tyler McDonough ranks 8th in Hits (11).

Sophomore Pitcher Reid Johnston ranks 7th in the ACC in K’s, striking out 15 batters in 11 innings of middle relief. His 2 wins also rank 2nd in the conference.

Ironically, Junior Kent Klyman, the Wolfpack’s closer, leads the ACC with 3 Wins.

Redshirt Sophomore Dalton Feeney is 3rd in Opponent Batting Average, holding the opposing batters to a .083 batting average in 8 innings pitched.

As a team, NC State’s pitchers rank 1st in the conference in ERA (2.13).
