NC State’s football team just finished up summer testing, and the gains these players have experienced under the tutelage of Director of Strength and Conditioning Dantonio “Thunder Dan” Burnette.

Defensive Tackle who is heading into his Sophomore season joined the elite 600 pound club.

Graduate Redshirt Senior Defensive End James Smith-Williams squatted 610 pounds.

Incoming True Freshman Defensive Tackle Joshua Harris already is squatting 555 pounds.

Redshirt Junior Brock Miller front squatted 405 pounds.

Redshirt Sophomore Grant Gibson is on the cusp of joining the 600-pound club, squatting 590 pounds.

Here’s Thunder Dan’s highlight reel.

Also, worth noting, 2020 Offensive Tackle Wolfpack commit Austin Blaske just broke his high school’s record, squatting 605 pounds. I can only imagine what he will do under the training of Burnette.
