It’s been 15 years since NC State played a Big 12 opponent, with Philip rivers leading the Wolfpack to a 56-26 victory over Kansas in the 2003 Tangerine Bowl. Ironically, on that day, Dave Doeren was on the other sideline, serving as the Linebackers coach for the Jayhawks.

Since the beginnings of the Big 12 back in 1996, NC State has a 4-1 record against members of the conference, winning their last 4.

The only loss the Wolfpack has suffered at the hands of a Big 12 opponent was against Baylor, with NC State falling 44-31 to the Bears on the road.

NC State’s competition against members of the Big 12 extend past the formation of the conference, and the time they joined. Overall, NC State holds a 12-11 all-time record against the current members of the Big 12.

Record Against Members of the Big 12 Since Formation (Overall Historical Record)

Baylor – 0-1 (0-2)
Iowa State – (0-1)
Kansas – 1-0 (2-0)
Oklahoma (0-2)
Texas – 1-0
Texas Tech – 2-0 (4-1)
West Virginia – (5-5)
