NC State’s football team (4-4) just lost to #20 Wake Forest by 34 points this past Saturday, and they have opened as 32-point underdogs in their upcoming homecoming against #3 Clemson (9-0) this weekend.

The Wolfpack are 2-5-1 against the spread in 2019 (1-5 in last 6 games), and the Tigers are 6-3. Clemson is 2-1 against the spread on the road, and NC State is 0-3 against the spread at home.

For what it’s worth, the Wolfpack is 6-3 against the spread in their last 9 matchups against the Tigers.

The Total is currently sitting at 55. Clemson’s games have gone UNDER the Total in 4 out of their 9 games, and NC State’s games have gone UNDER in 2 of their 8. Six of the last nine times these two teams have met, the Total has been UNDER.

I can only track back betting lines to 1995, but I can confirm that this is the biggest spread in a matchup between the Wolfpack and the Tigers in that span. The largest spread prior to this was when NC State was a 21.5-point underdog in 2000, and on two other occasions they were 21-point underdogs (2008 & 2016).
