According to Joe Giglio of the News and Observer, the NCAAs has given a new deadline of December 9th for NC State to respond to the Notice of Allegations the school received back on July 10th.
Four allegations were levied against the NC State Men’s Basketball program in the notice, with 2 of them being Level I and 2 of them being Level II.
In a nutshell, the two Level I allegations have to do with Dennis Smith Jr. allegedly receiving $40k to play at NC State, and the two Level II allegations are in regards to not regulating the distribution of free tickets.
NC State had 90 days originally to respond to the allegations, but the NCAA postponed that deadline on their own accord.
After the school’s response is received, the NCAA will have 60 days to respond, and a hearing before the Committee of Infractions will follow.
