Here’s a look at how NC State’s 2020 football commits did in their respective playoff games in Week 15 of the 2019 season.
4-Star Wide Receiver Porter Rooks had 2 receptions for 57 yards in Myers Park’s 35-32 loss to Richmond in the 3rd Round of the North Carolina 4AA State Playoffs.
3-Star Linebacker Devon Betty had 2 tackles in St. Thomas Aquinas’ 42-0 victory over Venice in the Semifinals of the Florida 7A State Playoffs.
3-Star Cornerback Devan Boykin rushed the ball 13 times for 61 yards in Ragsdale’s 34-21 loss to East Forsyth in the 3rd Round of the North Carolina 4A State Playoffs. He also had 5 receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown, and 7 tackles on defense.

3-Star Wide Receiver Anthony Smith had 2 receptions for 113 yards and a touchdown in Huntington’s 21-14 loss to Damascus in the Semifinals of the Maryland 3A State Playoffs.
4-Star QB Braden Davis Includes NC State in First 9
2022 4-Star Quarterback Braden Davis (6’4″/193) out of Delaware revealed his First 9 schools last week, and NC State made the cut along with Penn State, Texas A&M, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Temple, LSU and Alabama.

Could 3-Star DT Henry Bryant Flip From Louisville to NC State Today?
The early national signing period begins today, and there’s a chance that 3-Star Defensive Tackle Henry Bryant (5’11″/275) flips his commitment from Louisville to NC State.
That is what Adam Lichtenstein of the South Florida Sun Sentinel predicts will happen.
Henry Bryant III, Atlantic, DL
Bryant finished his final season at Atlantic with another dominant season. The three-star defensive lineman has been committed to Louisville since June after taking an official visit there in May. But the Atlantic star might be having a change of heart. He took an official visit to N.C. State last weekend, according to 247Sports. While I would not be surprised if Bryant sticks with Louisville when he announces his decision on Thursday, it appears he’ll join the Wolfpack. Prediction: N.C. State. (Sun-Sentinel)
Considering the fact that Bryant plays for Atlantic High School in Delray Beach Florida, this is a noteworthy voice to listen to.
Bryant committed to Louisville on June 13th, but took an Official Visit to NC State on December 13th.
4-Star OT Austin Blaske Decommits From NC State
On the eve of National Signing Day, NC State received a punch to the gut when 4-Star Offensive Tackle Austin Blasko tweeted out that he was decommitting from the Wolfpack at 11pm.
Respect my decision 💯 pic.twitter.com/0I094XEHsZ
— Austin Blaske (@AustinBlaske) December 18, 2019
From the looks of it, it would seem that Georgia possibly swept in at the last second, and Blaske could be signing with the Bulldogs tomorrow instead.
Blaske was the third highest rated commit in NC State’s recruiting class according to 247Sports, and 1 of only 4 4-Star commits along with Wide Receiver Porter Rooks, Defensive Tackle Davin Vann and Safety Nehki Meredith.
This is a huge blow to the 2020 NC State recruiting class, considering the fact that he repped the Pack about as hard as any other member.
