NC State Fires DL Coach Kevin Patrick, Takes Job at FAU

Newly appointed Defensive Coordinator Tony Gibson is going to practically have a brand new staff to work with in 2020, with NC State firing Defensive Line Coach Kevin Patrick yesterday. It was also announced yesterday that Patrick will be the Outside Linebackers Coach at FAU with Willie Taggart.

Patrick served as the D-Line Coach in Raleigh the past three seasons.

The only remaining Defensive Coach for the Wolfpack besides Gibson is Nickels Coach Aaron Henry. Defensive Coordinator Dave Huxtable and Cornerbacks Coach George Barlow were also previously relieved of their duties.

Gibson runs a 3-3-5 defensive scheme, which is different to the 4-man front Patrick was used to previously.
