NC State vs. Virginia Tech Depth Chart (WITH NOTES)

NC State released their depth chart for their game against Virginia Tech this Saturday night, and there are only 2 changes to note.

• Last week Redshirt Sophomore Devin Leary was listed as the starter on the Depth Chart, despite not starting against Wake on Saturday night. Redshirt Junior Bailey Hockman started instead, after Leary entered Fall Camp as the starter. Unfortunately, Leary had to quarantine for 21 days during Fall Camp due to “contact tracing” despite never testing positive for Covid-19. Hockman took advantage of the opportunity, completing 16 of 23 for 191 yards and a touchdown (1 interception), and also rushed for 30 yards (3.8 yards per carry) and a touchdown. This week Hockman is listed as the starter ahead of Leary.
• Redshirt Sophomore Isaac Duffy is listed as the 3rd string Free Safety this week. Last week, the position was only 2-deep on the Depth Chart. Duffy played in all 12 games last season on Special Teams. Duffy, formerly a walk-on, was awarded a scholarship in February.
