Will new Virginia Tech COVID pause cancel the NC State game this Saturday?

We’ll cross this bridge when we come to it, but Virginia Tech’s program is on a COVID pause while they do some contact tracing.

They just canceled their game with Louisville last night and have yet to make a decision about the State game on Saturday. We are going to focus on the ND game today, but will quickly pick up coverage of this breaking news. The game vs. VT is important because it’s a game against a ranked opponent and would register as a Quad 2 game. NC State has been stripped of a lot of opportunities this year, missing games vs. GT, Louisville, and Michigan, all quality opponents.

After the ND game, we’ll get back into the hypotheticals of State’s chances for the NCAA tournament and how this potential cancellation would change things. Stay tuned.
