NC State Redshirt Junior Quarterback Devin Leary is coming off a tremendous statistical 2021 season, and is primed to move up the school record books. Here’s a look at where he sits in the record books heading into the 2022 season.

Even though this will be Leary’s 4th year on the field, if he were to play a full season this year, he will have really only played 3 full seasons of games, which makes where he could land in the record books even that more impressive.

Leary currently ranks 7th all-time in career passing yards (5,542). If Leary were to match last years 3,433 passing yards, he would finish this season with 8,975 career passing yards, which would rank 4th all-time.

His 51 career passing touchdowns currently ranks 6th all-time. If Leary were to match his 35 passing touchdowns from last season, he would finish his third season with 86 career passing touchdowns, which would rank 2nd all-time behind Philip Rivers.

Entering 2022, Leary has 6 career 300-yard passing games, which ranks 4th in NC State history. All six of those performances took place last year. If Leary were to duplicate last years total, at the end of this season, he would have 12 300-yard passing games under his belt, placing him at the top of the list ahead of Rivers.

Leary’s Interception avoidance rate of 1.59% currently ranks 2nd in school history.

Entering 2022, Leary’s career Completion Percentage of 59.9% currently ranks 5th in school history.

Leary’s Passing Efficiency Rating of 141.12 currently ranks 2nd in NC State history.
