2023 4-star combo guard Silas Demary Jr. will announce decision Friday

Published

on

If you follow this site then you’re aware of Silas Demary Jr. He’s the 4-star combo guard who Kevin Keatts has made somewhat of a priority this offseason. We’ve covered this A LOT, so if you want back story on this recruitment, you can go here…

Here is where we talked about his official visit.

…and the interview with his father.

…and the interview with him.

…and our piece about analysts hinting that NC State is trending with Demary Jr.

Well, the wait to see where the Raleigh-native ends up is almost over.

This weekend, Demary Jr. tweeted that a decision is coming soon, and just yesterday reports started surfacing that Friday will be the big day.

After talking to both Silas and his father, we came away believing NC State was going to be one of his top schools if not the leader. On3 analytsts seemed to think the same thing, posting that NC State seems to be trending for Demary Jr. And 247 had their only 2 crystal ball predictions predicting NC State. However, it may be worth noting that 247 national analyst Travis Branham had his crystal ball prediction of a 7 out of 10 for Demary to choose NC State. He since has removed that prediction.

However, it’s also worth noting that two of the other SG’s that NC State were recruiting heavily have gone elsewhere. Davin Cosby chose Alabama and Braelon Green chose Arizona State.

That said, the overall consensus is that NC State is in good standing with the 4-star combo guard, so we’ll be watching closely on Friday.

NC State Offers Top-10 Forward Nate Ament

Published

on

NC State was in to watch 2025 Forward Nate Ament (6’8″/170) last week with Team Loaded on the Adidas AAU circuit, and the Wolfpack extended him a scholarship offer on the 20th.

Ament is a consensus Top-40 player in the 2025 recruiting class, with ON3 ranking him 10th overall. Rivals and ON3 both rank him as a 5-star player, and he is the consensus #1 player in the state of Virginia in his class.

He plays for Highland High School in Manassas, Virginia, where he averaged 19.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 4.0 blocks and 3.7 assists per game last season.

Ament’s offer sheet is insane, holding offers from NC State, Virginia Tech, Duke, Iowa, Wake Forest, Virginia, Pitt, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Louisville, Tennessee, Ole Miss, FSU, Alabama, Texas and others.

NC State Offers 3-Star Small Forward Ryan Frost

Published

on

3-Star 2025 Small Forward Ryder Frost (6’6″/205) has received an offer from NC State.

247Sports ranks Frost as a 3-Star prospect, while the other databases have him as unranked (Rivals), or unlisted (ESPN & ON3). 247 ranks him as the #5 overall player in the state of Massachusetts in the 2025 recruiting class.

When it’s all said and done, I don’t expect Frost to be an unranked or unrated prospect by any database. He has been averaging 15 points and 8.2 rebounds for the Middlesex Magic in AAU ball in the Under Armour circuit this Spring, shooting 43% from three.

Sometimes everything can change in one day. Yesterday, after picking up an offer from Syracuse, Frost also picked up offers from Nebraska, Minnesota, Wake Forest, NC State, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech. Prior to yesterday, Frost also held offers from West Virginia, Iowa, Penn State and others.

Frost looks to be one of the best three-point shooters in the nation in the 2025 recruiting class. He plays High School ball for Phillips Exeter in Exeter, New Hampshire.

Here’s a look at some highlights from his recent AAU circuit.

Here’s a look at Frost’s Junior Highlights at Exeter, where he helped lead them to the state title. He was named the Player of the Year in New Hampshire, averaging 21.6 point and 7.7 rebounds per game, shooting 44 percent from three, making 201 from beyond the arc.

Keith is a consensus 4-star prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, with Rivals ranking him as the #53 overall player in the class. The Southern High (Durham, NC) standout is ranked as the #2 player in the state of North Carolina in the 2025 class by ESPN.
