4-Star Commit Trey Parker Signs National Letter of Intent Hours Before End of Early Signing Period

Published

on

Last night 4-Star 2023 Guard Trey Parker verbally committed to NC State, and he also signed his National Letter of Intent as well, hours before the end of the early signing period, which ended last night at midnight.

Both Wolfpack commits, Trey Parker and Dennis Parker, have signed their National Letters of Intent.

The fact that Keatts pulled this off right at the wire is beyond impressive. Trey Parker is set to see his national rankings soar in his Senior season, and was expected to see his offer sheet, which wasn’t all that impressive, expand. Parker is one of the more underrated talents in the 2023 recruiting class.

Incredible job by Keatts to get Parker to sign hours before the early signing period ended.

You can check out Parker’s insane VIDEO VAULT here.

This totally unrelated but… does anyone else hate as much as I do the pictures of the players sitting on the ball??? It’s wrong in all sorts of ways and as Jimmy V would say, “Don’t sit on the rock!!!”

If we sign 6’7” Kris Parker do we consider the WolfParkers as an NIL promotion?

The only way KK is going to get the really good players is by identifying them early before the big names get to them, and locking in on them, ala Terquavion Smith. Here’s hoping that applies to these to guys.

Yes. Although I’ve wondered about high school recruiting as far as the Transfer Portal. While it’s clear schools will still recruit high school, and blue blood schools will continue to slurp up the top players across the land… transfers will now become a huge part of everyone’s fabric as well.

And then there is NIL, which can either help keep a young kid around and happy or can be incentive to go elsewhere. If you can get NIL donors to pay up, its playing with house money.

Judging from last year’s transfer portal success, when the deck was really stacked against him, Keatts adapted very well. Now he has signed two impressive HS players. We need to over achieve on the court this year to keep the momentum going.

Don’t forget, we get 1 more scholly slot back next season. That allows a little more room to work both HS and Portal.

4-Star 2024 Small Forward Jahki Howard (6’7″/180) took an Unofficial Visit to NC State yesterday alongside 4-Star Shooting Guard Paul McNeil, who verbally committed to run with the Wolfpack yesterday.

Howard is ranked as the #51 overall player nationally in the 2024 class by Rivals, and the #4 player in the state of Georgia according to ESPN. Howard plays for Overtime Elite in Atlanta, where 2023 NC State signee Trey Parker plays.

He also holds offers from Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Providence, Auburn, Rutgers, Illinois, Texas A&M, Mississippi St, Wake Forest, Florida, LSU, Ole Miss, Arizona St, Kansas, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Arkansas, and others.

As far as I can tell, Howard doesn’t hold an offer from NC State at this point.

Top-25 2024 SG Paul McNeil is Taking an Official Visit to NC State Next Weekend

Published

2024 4-Star Shooting Guard Paul McNeil (6’6″/185) will be taking an Official Visit to NC State next weekend.

ESPN ranks McNeil as the #17 overall player nationally in the 2024 recruiting class, and the #2 player in the state of North Carolina. I don’t understand how recruiting databases work, but at some point this year he will be a 5-star player according to ESPN as long as he stays in the Top-25.

McNeil plays for Richmond Senior in Rockingham, North Carolina.

This is huge for NC State to get a player of McNeil’s caliber to come in for an Official Visit this early in the process.
