NC State’s Jack Clark Enters Transfer Portal

Published

on

NC State Forward Jack Clark has entered the Transfer Portal.

I heard from a source that it was close to 50/50 whether Clark would return to NC State next year for his final year of eligibility.

Clark started in 17 of the 23 games that he played in for the Wolfpack this season, averaging 9.0 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. Clark led the Wolfpack on rebounding in 22-23.

When it’s all said and done, I wouldn’t be shocked to see NC State pull in 6 players from the Transfer Portal when all the dust settles.

Brace yourself for the ride.

Can we send Keatts to the transfer portal instead of good players for a change?

NIL money makes it really hard to guess who will leave or not. Clark might be betting on a big payoff, or he may simply be looking for a starting spot. It will be very interesting where he winds up. Players transferring from State haven’t recently found themselves in a much better place.

So far, you are 0 for 1 on predictions.

The college basketball landscape is much different in this day and age. Every team is dealing with this. Keatts showed he could put together a team through the portal last season, I see no reason why he won’t do the same this season. Don’t get down on the man just because players are transferring. And please!!!! He did a 180 with the team so I’m not sure why you think he should “transfer”.

NC State’s DJ Burns Joins the 2,000 Point Club

Published

This past Saturday was a good night for NC State’s DJ Burns. He led NC State to their 1st ACC Championship since 1987. He earned the ACC Tournament MVP Award. He also joined the 2,000 point club.

With 11:52 left in the 2nd half, Burns fittingly made a hook shot that added up to his 1,999th point and his 2,000th point.

Burns joined DJ Horne, who joined the 2,000 point club earlier in the ACC Tournament in the Wolfpack’s victory over Duke.

NC State is Right Outside of the AP Top-25 Heading into the NCAA Tournament

Published

on

The new Men’s College Basketball AP Poll is out, and NC State is right outside of the Top-25, sitting at 29th heading into the 1st round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament. The Wolfpack will be playing Texas Tech in the 1st round on Thursday night at 9:40, and the Red Raiders moved up 3 spots in this poll to #22.

ACC Teams in the AP Poll

5. UNC
13. Duke
29. NC State
39. Clemson

It is interesting that NC State is the 3rd highest ranked team in the AP Poll, but are the lowest seed of any ACC team in the NCAA Tournament.

With a good showing in the NCAA Tournament, the Wolfpack could find themselves in the Final AP Top-25 for the first time since 2003-04, when they finished 15th. NC State has been ranked in the Final AP Top-25 seventeen times.
