Gilbert is planning for his Official Visit to NC State on September 27-29 to be his final one. He has already taken an Official Visit to Louisville, and is taking one to UCF this weekend. Other Official Visits on the horizon: South Carolina (June 7), Memphis (June 14) and Georgia State (June 21).

Michigan is the newest team to join the mix, making the Top-7 after offering him a couple days ago on May 29th.

Back in July of 2022, Gilbert committed to Ohio St., but last July he decommitted from the Buckeyes.

NC State offered Gilbert in April of last year. He was at the Wolfpack’s Spring Game in April, and at their Junior Day in January.

Gilbert is a consensus 4-Star Top-275 (used to be a 5-star prospect). ESPN and Rivals both rank him as the #113 overall player nationally in the 2025 class. Rivals ranks him as the #8 player in the state of Georgia, and the #3 Safety.

Chad Simmons of ON3 thinks that out of the Top-7, NC State, South Carolina and Louisville would be at the top of the list.
