Elliott Avent Will Return as NC State’s Head Coach Next Year for His 29th Season
After arriving back in Raleigh from being eliminated from the 2024 College World Series, Elliott Avent made it clear that he will be returning next year for his 29th season as the Wolfpack’s Head Coach.
Avent has been the Head Coach in Raleigh since 1997, and has led the Wolfpack to a record of 1,038-615. NC State has gone to the College World Series 4 times, and Avent led Pack to 3 of those. Avent was named the ACC Coach of the Year in 2003, and the National Coach of the Year in 2003 and 2021.
In 28 seasons, Avent still hasn’t brought home an ACC Championship, so he will be returning in 2025 with unfinished business to attend to.
Wolfpack nation is fortunate to have had Avent as their Head Baseball Coach, and the fortune will continue on in 2025.
