NC State Hosted the #1 Player in the Nation Yesterday

NC State hosted 5-Star Quarterback Faizon Brandon (6’4″/195) yesterday on an Unofficial Visit, who 247Sports ranks as the #1 player overall nationally in the 2026 class.

Brandon was the Quarterback for NC State Freshman Wide Receiver Terrell Anderson at Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. As a Sophomore last season, he threw for 3,026 yards and 36 Touchdowns, completing 69% of his passes. He also rushed for 528 yards and 9 Touchdowns.

This marks the 2nd time this year that the Wolfpack have had him on campus. This year, he has also taken unofficial visits to Alabama, FSU, LSU and Tennessee.

NC State was the third Division I school to offer Brandon, back on January 23rd of last year. He also holds offers from Georgia, Tennessee, Duke, Louisville, UNC, FSU, Boston College, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Michigan, LSU, Syracuse, Penn St., Wisconsin, TCU, Ohio St., Oregon, Miami, Alabama and others.
