On Saturday, former NC State Wide Receiver Kelvin Harmon worked out for the Dallas Cowboys, and they must have liked what they saw, because they signed him to a deal later that day.

Last season, Harmon had 31 receptions for 375 yards and 3 touchdowns in 7 games for the DC Defenders in the UFL.

Back in 2019, Harmon was drafted by Washington in the 6th round of the NFL Draft, with the 206th overall pick.

As a Rookie, Harmon played in all 16 games, starting in 8 for Washington. He caught 30 passes for 365 yards.

Unfortunately, Harmon tore his ACL in the Summer of 2020, keeping him out of the NFL ever since. In August of 2021, Harmon was released, but re-signed with the Commanders Practice Squad in September. In January of 2022, he signed a Futures Contract with Washington, but was released in August.

Harmon signed on with the Defenders in the UFL in October of 2023, but health was still an issue, ending up on the injured reserve list, failing to play a single game.

Prior to his first game with the Defenders on March 31st, it had been 1,554 days since Harmon had played in game.

Harmon ranks 6th in the NC State record books in Receptions (177) and 3rd in Receiving Yards (2,665). What makes that even more impressive, is he put up those career numbers in only 3 seasons. Harmon earned All-ACC 2nd Team honors in 2017, and 1st Team honors in 2018.
