NC State Sophomore Running Back Kendrick Raphael met with the media last week, and he broke down competition in the Running Back room, how Wide Receiver Noah Rogers is a freak of nature, how Coach Thunder has helped take his game to a new level this Fall, and the defenders that are the toughest to get past.

You can watch the interview ABOVE, or read the transcript BELOW.

Having the other Running Backs in the room keeps me on my toes, to go out there and play the best, and be the best. And also, to learn from them.

Noah Rogers is a freak of nature. He’s going to be that guy. He’s really good. His route running. The way he makes spectacular catches. Catching in traffic. He’s a guy that we really needed on this team.

Shout out to Coach Thunder. He did his job. He did his work. Last year it was easy to knock me down. I came out there off balance. This year in Fall Camp, it’s not very easy to hit me. It’s like nothing, to be real.

I hit a lot of PR’s. I set new PR’s in Cleans, Bench (225 test), and I also ran 22 mph.

Brandon Cleveland for sure. He’s a tough guy to get past. Travali Price sometimes as well. Caden Fordham as well. They bring the best out of me everyday. I’m very thankful for them.
