NC State Redshirt Senior Quarterback Grayson McCall has the 4th best odds to lead the ACC in Passing Yards in 2024, according to Draft Kings.

Last year, Cam Ward threw for 3,736 yards at Washington St., and this year he will be slinging the ball for Miami. In 2023, Cade Klubnik (Clemson) threw for 2,844 yards and Haynes King (Georgia Tech) threw for 2,842 yards.

In 2021, Grayson McCall threw for a career high 2,873 yards at Coastal Carolina.

Let’s get this out of the way. I’d probably put my money on Ward winning the crown for most passing yards.

With that being said, I wouldn’t be surprised if McCall finishes 2nd. With the weapons he has at his disposal this season, 3,000+ passing yards is in the cards.

There’s a good chance that McCall airs it out this season more than he ever has in his career. Last season, Brennan Armstrong threw the ball 262 times, and that was only starting 9 games for the Wolfpack. He also rushed the ball 143 times. McCall has only thrown the ball more than 262 times in season once in his college career. His career high is 297.

As long as he stays healthy, I expect McCall to throw well over 300 passes this season, paving the way for him to throw for 3,000+ yards in his career.

Considering the weapons surrounding him, maybe he’ll be the first NC State Quarterback to throw for 3,500+ yards in a season since Ryan Finley did it in 2017 (3,518).
